DUST Development was founded on a simple belief — that the homes we live in should be thoughtfully designed for healthier living, while supporting our environment and communities. This is our story, our mission, and the people behind every build.
My name is Dusty Dallas.
After spending my career building homes and communities across the country, I kept coming back to one thought: we can build better.
DUST was created to challenge the way homes have traditionally been built. Not by making them more complicated, but by being more thoughtful about the air we breathe, the energy we use, the materials we choose, and how a home performs for the people living inside it.
We believe a home should be healthier, more efficient, more durable, and more connected to the earth around it. We also believe that when we build something new, we should find a way to give something back.
That belief became DUST.

Every DUST home is designed to create a healthier place to live—cleaner air, less energy, greater durability, and a commitment to giving back more to the earth than we take.
DUST has partnered with Antomos Plant to give back through responsible building practices. A typical home our size may require the equivalent of roughly 120 trees to build. For a 2,343-square-foot DUST home, we donate 2,343 trees to be planted—nearly 20 trees given back for every tree used.
Building better homes is only part of our mission. We believe in showing up for the communities we’re part of — not just the ones we build in.
Our team regularly volunteers time and resources to local initiatives, supports housing and sustainability education, and partners with organizations working to make Arizona communities healthier and more resilient.
From hands-on volunteer days to training the next generation of builders in sustainable construction practices, community involvement isn’t a side project at DUST — it’s an extension of why we started in the first place.
